Junior Rifle Registeration

LIABILITY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

I, the undersigned, do hereby agree and declare, under my own free will as follows:

1. I am about to voluntarily engage in an activity/activities involving either firearms or bow at the property of Nenameseck Sportsman’s Club, Inc., hereinafter called the “Club”, located at 150 Bacon Road in Palmer, Hampden County, Massachusetts, and/or other location(s) that may be visited during the season,
2. I acknowledge that my participation in any shooting sports involves a certain amount of inherent risks, including acts or omissions of other participants, equipment failures, acts of God, etc. for which I release all others of liability,
3. I have been advised that there will or may be other persons shooting firearms or bows on the Club premises, and I agree to exercise all safety precautions and procedures as communicated and/or instructed to me, to avoid causing injury to myself or others,
4. I certify that I am familiar with the use and operation of firearms and/or bow and arrows, that I am familiar with the equipment that I will be using while on the Club premises and that I am familiar with the rules of shooting and firearm safety,
5. I am aware that during shooting instruction/events/competitions there may exist certain risks and dangers that could conceivably cause me or others physical or emotional discomfort, loss or damage to equipment, personal injury or even death,
6. I understand that the risks and dangers involved in participating in this competition include, but are not limited to: a) being struck by a stray, misfired or misaimed projectile, b) being subjected to loud noise, c) being struck by ejected shell casing(s), d) being struck by target/projectile fragments,
7. I understand and agree that no amount of care by the officers, directors, agents or supervising members of the Club can completely compensate for the fact that participation in this sporting event may involve some risk to me as a student/competitor/shooter/participant/spectator and that I am freely willing to release the Club from all liability and damage that may arise from said risks,
8. In consideration of and as part payment for the right to participate in or observe said instruction/competition/event I do freely and willfully release the Club, it’s officers, directors, agents and members from all liability, actions, debts, claims and demands of every kind or nature whatsoever which I now have or may have in the future as the result of my participation in or observation of this instruction/event/competition, and I hereby accept all risks and responsibilities herein,
9. The terms hereof shall serve as a release of liability for me, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, and for all members of my family, including my spouse or minor children accompanying me,
10. I understand that photographs of events may be taken and published on the Club website or other media promoting the Junior Rifle program. I agree and consent that images of my son/daughter may be used for these purposes.

I HAVE READ THE ABOVE AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS AND PURPOSE. IN SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT I DO SO VOLUNTARILY AND WITHOUT RESERVATION.
