Donald Sprowl Memorial Scholarship
Nenameseck Sportsmen’s Club is proud to offer the 2nd annual $500 scholarship in memory of
Donald (Don) Sprowl. Don was an active Club member as the Club Vice President and Chief
Range Safety Officer. Don proudly served in the Air force and Air National Guard. Don loved to
share his knowledge by teaching and mentoring others and this scholarship will help continue
to inspire that in others.
In order to apply for the scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a high school senior attending college, trade school or joining the military
- Participate in a Club program (i.e., Jr. Rifle, Jr. Archery, Air Rifle, Turkey Shoot, etc.)
- Submit a 500 word essay on any of the following topics by February 28th
- Conservation and Hunting
- Protecting the Second Amendment
- Benefits of a Sportsmen’s Club
All submitted essays will be de-identified and reviewed by a Committee selected by the Board.
The Committee will select the winning essay and the scholarship will be awarded at the annual
meeting in April.
