Another Pink Hippy Shoot is in the books! This year, year 7, we broke several records. And they were broken because of all the people that participated in this year’s shoot. I wish I could thank each and every one of you personally, but there were just too many people this year. That brings us to the first record broken, the number of shooters. We had 111 shooters this year and 27 non-shooters sign up! Our previous record was 103 shooters. Thank you all for coming and thank you to the ones that came from a good distance away. Some had 2+ hour drives! I hope the course, meal and prizes were worth the trip. I know we loved having you all at Nenameseck Sportsman’s Club.
The second record broken was the amount of money we raised this year. Our first year we raised around $2,500.00. Because of all of you we have gone up every year. This year’s total, drum roll please, $8,916.00!! Again, this was achieved because of all of you.
This money will help the Pink Hippy continue assisting women and men cope with this terrible disease.
We need to thank the crew at Nenameseck Sportsman’s Club for getting the club and course ready for us to shoot. We also need to thank NSC for allowing us to have the shoot there.
Now a big thank you to our very own chef Rush Blankenship and his wife Diane. Rush has provided meals the last three years. This year was a big undertaking. He started the pig the afternoon before and attended it all night. He even had a bear come by for a visit and to see what he was up to and maybe get a little taste lol.
Without the generous prize donations from businesses and individuals, we couldn’t raise anywhere near the amounts we raise. Here is a list of the donators in no particular order!
